Now, if you know me, you know I don't know how to ride a bike. I physically have no clue how to ride a bike. Not for my parents lack of trying either; they tried really hard. I just had no interest. In theory, ATVing is nothing like riding a bike. It has four wheels. You don't need to pedal. You don't really have to balance. You just need to kind of hang on for dear life.
After a quick lesson of how to turn on the ATV, how to use the gas pedal, and how to shift gears, we were sent off to test the waters on the sand dunes! It was absolutely terrifying, exhilarating, and challenging. You're shaking, bumping, using muscles you haven't used in years/ ever. It was an experience that I wouldn't give up for anything. Even when we got stuck in the sand and had to flag someone over for help or when Eliza's ATV kept stalling, it was an adventure!

The rest of the day was spent on the beach. Reading and taking in the sun. Sometimes it's nice to not know where you're headed. It gives you opportunities to do things you never thought you'd be able to do! This is what this trip is all about! Stay tuned for more of my crazy ride as we head further south in SoCal.
