Sunday morning started early. Early for me, at least. I woke up and got dressed in comfy/ hiking clothes and set off down the hill. As a side note, lots of construction going on in Ithaca. Parts of the city were unrecognizable.
One thing that has not changed is CTB- Collegetown Bagels. I dream about these bagels sometimes. I mean, just fluffy, flavorful options like Rosemary Salt or Sun-dried Tomato, to name some of my favorites. Unreal. As per usual, I got a tuna melt. Those who know me know have an unfavorable disposition towards canned tuna, but this is to die for. Perfectly mixed and seasoned tuna under a thin slice of local tomato all covered in melty provolone cheese on aforementioned Sun-dried Tomato bagel. I think I have a crush. Paired with a delicious iced coffee and a good book, intermittently people watching and eavesdropping on a conversation about dentistry, I sat for easily an hour.
After breakfast/ lunch, I headed down to one of Ithaca's most popular gorges, Buttermilk Falls. The walk down was so beautiful, I'm just going to let the pictures speak for themselves. Get ready!

I mean, come on! The walk back up was less aesthetically pleasing and hard as balls. Here's me trying not to vomit or cry at the top!
The beautiful day turned into a monsoon-y mess. I had planned to have dinner in the Commons on a patio, but I forgot my scuba gear at home. Instead, I got Viva Taqueria take out and brought it back to my living quarters. I finished Orange is the New Black- yes, it only took me three days, so what- and then a friend came over to watch game five of the NBA finals. I am not favoring a team per se, but I cannot get enough of Steph Curry. Yessir.
These past two days in Ithaca reminded me why it was so hard to leave in the first place. I love that town and always will. Maybe I'll make that one of my last stops on the way home because I cannot get enough of my girl, Ithaca. I will miss you, but I promise to be back soon.
