Ithaca is Gorgeous...

Saturday was a beautiful travel day. Seriously. Sunny and blue skies all the way up 84 to 86 to 81 to 17 to 96. Lots of highway changes but well worth it to come back to the Village of Ithaca. I spent roughly two years here for college and spent most of my time in bed. So it was really wonderfully to come back to the campus of Ithaca College and enjoy a nice peaceful lunch. Lunch was from Wegman's- easily on of my favorite places in Ithaca- and was enjoyed pondside by the chapel on campus.
Sitting and enjoying my salad, across the pond, I start to hear splashes. Looking up, there are about 15 geese of all different sizes swimming towards me. Not one for the aviary, I packed my things and hightailed it to a different part of campus.

Still beautifully warm, I went to the Dillingham fountains. At night, they change color, but even during the day they're beautiful. The whole area around the fountains has been re-done in the past few years to offer some of the loveliest fews on campus.

After walking around outside, I decided to go to my old stomping grounds. The Whalen Center School of Music was the place on campus that always made me feel welcome. Always rich with various and sometimes dissonant instruments and voices, it was the place I liked most.
Ford Hall where I caught an orchestra rehearsing for an
upcoming performance.
The "Lizard Lounge". Recently re-done with brighter colors and lights, making it difficult to sleep in.

When my private campus tour was over, it was time for a drink. Down to Ithaca Beer Company I went. Being a big fan of their beer, I was very excited to have it fresh from the brewery. I started of with an Apricot Wheat- fruity and refreshing- and ended with a flight. In the flight were an IPA, a double IPA, a Belgian porter, and a Berliner Weisse. The last was not my cup of tea as it was more of a sour beer, but the other three were wonderful. The Belgian porter was definitely my favorite tasting like an alcoholic, coffee-flavored chocolate bar. Just the best.

I ended my night with an old friend watching hockey and Ultimate Fighting. While I would never watch them on my own, it was funny to watch and great to catch up with a good friend.
