Waking up early on Monday, and this time I do mean early, I packed up my stuff and headed towards Cleveland. Other than it being extremely humid, weather conditions as I hit the road were fine. For about an hour. And then, the skies opened up. Blinding rains combined with both a boring landscape and not nearly enough sleep was trying, to say the least. With an hour and a half until Cleveland, I pulled off and exit and refueled. Cheaper gas than Connecticut and a breakfast sandwich and coffee gave me a little life. Enough life to get to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Get ready for a lot of pictures!
Hot and more humid then Hades, I decided it was time for a cold drink. I drove across town to Great Lake Brewing Co. where I had a pint of Burning River Pale Ale and Commodore Perry IPA. There were a lot of regulars at the bar and I felt right at home. The bartender was polite and kept me engaged and suggested their dinner special, which of course I had to have. Locally made sweet potato gnocchi, bacon and English peas, in a white wine lemon sauce with some grilled chicken. So freaking good.
After an extremely long day, I checked into my hotel and rested. Big day tomorrow to see the rest of Cleveland! Stay tuned!
